Remote Files of Iptanus File Upload Plugin

Version 4.16.0 added a Remote Files page to the Dashboard area of the Iptanus File Upload plugin.

The Remote Files page listing orphan files held in cloud and FTP locations

What the page shows

It lists orphan remote files: files held in a remote location — Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Amazon S3, FTP or SFTP — whose counterpart on your own site no longer exists.

What is listed for each file

Each row gives the file’s location and path along with some basic details, and links through to the file’s own details page and to its entry in the View Log. The Actions column holds open and download links.

Unlinking a remote file

You can also unlink remote files, which removes them from the plugin’s database. Select one or more, choose Unlink under Bulk Actions, and press Apply.

The Unlink option selected under Bulk Actions on the Remote Files page

Unlinking does not delete anything from the remote location. It only tells the plugin to forget its links to those files.
