Front-end file uploads for WordPress
Let visitors upload files from any page, post or sidebar widget — into your Media library, or straight to Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Amazon S3 or an FTP server.
What it does
A form on any page
One shortcode, or a Gutenberg block. Add your own fields, filter by size, extension or user role, and run several forms in the same post.
Files go where you need
The Media library, a NextGEN gallery, an FTP server or a cloud account. Large files upload in chunks, past the server’s own limit.
You see what arrives
A file browser and activity log in the dashboard, email notifications on upload, and a viewer your logged-in users can see too.
What it looks like
Set-up and reference
- Install the plugin with the WordPress auto-installer, or download the .zip file from wordpress.org and install it from the Plugins section of your Dashboard.Or copy the
wordpress_file_uploaddirectory into thewp-content/pluginsdirectory of your site yourself. - Activate the plugin from the Plugins section of your Dashboard.
- For an upload form, go to Dashboard / Settings / Iptanus File Upload and follow the instructions in Uploader Instances.

- Open the page in your browser and you will see the upload form, or the list of files.
- View what has arrived from the Uploaded Files item in the Dashboard menu.
- Change the upload directory, or any other setting, from the small edit button at the top-left corner of the upload form.It opens the plugin options in a new window. If nothing appears, allow pop-up windows for your site.

The plugin requires to have Javascript enabled in your browser. For Internet Explorer you also need to have Active-X enabled.
Please note that old desktop browsers or mobile browsers may not support all of the above features. In order to get full functionality use the latest versions of browsers, supporting HTML5, AJAX and CSS3.

Hi,
The %filepath% being sent to my email (set under “Notifications”) is not a clickable link to download the file.
It shows like this:
/home/example/example/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/example-file.psd
When i need it to show like this:
http://www.example.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/example-file.psd
Am I missing something?
Or is this not possible to receive a download link in an email notification after upload?
Nope you are not missing something. This options does not exist because it is a bit risky. Nevertheless, you can still do it. The most efficient way is to implement wfu_before_email_notification filter. Please send me an email for providing instructions about it.

After updating my WP and Divi theme, its impossible to download files to a smartphone. Both iPhone and Android. It works on PC and Mac. Can I do anything. (I got the pro-version).

Still, I need help to get the file path and store it in a hidden field in a form on the same page. (for all users).
So, basically, I have your plugin shortcode inside another form, after the user uploads the file, I want to record the full path to the file and send it with the submitted form. Is that possible?

Hi, for security reasons the full file path is not exposed to the client side. However if the upload path is fixed, then you already know it. The only thing you don’t know is the filename, which you can get from the upload form. However, if you have the plugin shortcode inside another form, then it may not work. Please test first.

I’m trying to do the same thing as Ian on one of my forms (using Caldera Forms 1.7.2 and WFU Pro 4.6), but instead of getting the upload path, I just want the filename(s) to be pushed to a hidden field on the page with a unique ID (fld_9272266). This would occur when the files are successfully uploaded. Can you provide an example of how to do this?
