Iptanus built the Iptanus File Upload Google Cloud app as a commercial application. This SERVICE is provided by Iptanus and is intended for use as is.
This page explains what happens to your information when you connect the Iptanus File Upload plugin to a Google Drive account, and applies from the moment you switch the Google Drive Uploads extension on.
Who holds what
Three parties are involved, and it matters which is which.
- The plugin asks you for no personal information at all. Its own privacy policy says so, and connecting Google Drive does not change it.
- Google signs you in and asks for your consent. That exchange is between you and Google, and Google’s privacy policy governs what Google collects during it. Iptanus takes no part in it.
- The Iptanus Google Cloud app receives only the permission you grant, and uses it only to place uploaded files in your Drive.
What the app asks Google for
One permission, and only one: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file.
That is Google’s per-file scope. It lets the app create files in your Drive and work with the files it has created, and nothing else. It cannot see, open or alter anything else in your Drive — not files you put there yourself, not files another application created.
The app asks for no profile scope, so it never receives your name, your email address or any other detail of your Google account.
Where the authorisation is kept
When you complete the connection, the resulting authorisation is stored in the plugin’s settings on your own website. Iptanus keeps no copy of it and cannot reach your Drive account.
Limited Use
The Iptanus File Upload Google Cloud app’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
In plain terms: the files the app places in your Drive are used for that purpose and no other. They are not read for advertising, not sold, not transferred to anyone else, and not used to train any model. No human at Iptanus reads them, except where you have asked us to look at something in support, where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse or a security incident.
Log data
Google reports usage of the app to Iptanus through the Google Cloud Console: how many requests were made, when, and whether any of them failed. Those figures exist so that we can keep the connection working.
They do not include the contents of your files, and — because the app holds no profile permission — they do not identify you.
Cookies
Cookies are small files commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. They are sent to your browser by the websites you visit and stored on your device.
This Service does not use cookies.
Security
We have security procedures in place to protect the confidentiality of your data, and connections to Google are encrypted in transit.

We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party site or service.
Children’s privacy
These Services are not addressed to anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has given us personal information, we delete it from our servers immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and you know that your child has given us personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary action.
