This is an important update bringing some new features and a serious bug fix as follows:
- A serious bug is corrected in Dropbox feature, where several users could not reset Dropbox when pressing “Clear Dropbox Uploads” button in Maintenance Actions.
- Added capability to the new Thumbnail system of the plugin to create thumbnails of PDF documents, taking into advantage the inherent capability of WordPress.
- Added placeholder option in available label positions of Additional Fields. When selected, the label text will be shown as placeholder of the field.
You can check more details in the Release Notes of the plugin’s support page.
Users who have purchased the Professional version of the plugin can download the latest one by logging into their Iptanus account, selecting the order and downloading the new file. Instructions for installing the new version can be found here.
Users of the Free version can update to the latest one using the Update feature of the Plugins section of their Dashboard.
The Iptanus team keeps working to make WordPress File Upload easier to use and freer of bugs, and will go on issuing new releases. Professional licences are one-off, and their updates never expire.

Hi,
I am delighted with the new version 4.3.1 but, though it mentions :-
“It creates and then displays thumbnails of the uploaded files (images and PDFs)”
I can’t get it to show images of PDFs or find where to activate this.
The plugin uses the inherent capabilities of WordPress to create preview images of PDF files.
Do you have the Pro version? It has a file viewer that can be added in any page or post. Then you can activate thumbnails by reading this article.
Regards
Nickolas
