Happy New Year to all!
New version, 3.7.0 of WordPress File Upload plugin has just been released.
This version introduces some new features and minor bug fixes. The most important additions are the following:
- Two new filters, wfu_before_upload and wfu_after_upload have been added to enable custom code before and after the upload. These filters are different than the already existing wfu_before_file_upload and wfu_after_file_upload because they refer to the whole upload, which can contain more than one files. You can find details about their usage and syntax in the support page.
- There have been some improvements to the old (version 1) Google Recaptcha. Now it appears complete (not only the image), as shown below and it also comes in 2 modes, normal (where you need to set public and private keys in the plugin’s Settings) and no-account (where no keys are required):
Furthermore, there have been extensive code modifications in almost all parts of the plugin that are not visible to users. These modifications aim to make the plugin pluggable. After they are completed, it will be possible to add separate extensions to the plugin to increase its capabilities. It will also be easier to customize it and tailor it exactly to your needs.
You can check details in the Release Notes of the plugin’s support page.
