Monday, 4-December-2023. New version 4.24.2 of WordPress File Upload plugin has just been released.
This is a regular update that fixes a bug that generated a fatal error during plugin activation on websites where the PHP directive allow_url_fopen was 0.
In addition, this version introduces a long waiting feature, Debug Logging. So far, users who had problems and required to log warnings and errors of their website, for troubleshooting purposes, they had to install a plugin hook provided by Iptanus team, collect data, locate the debug log file and sent it to Iptanus.
Now users can activate and deactivate Debug Logging easily right from the Dashboard area of the plugin, from Maintenance Actions tab.
When Debug Logging is active, a notification icon is shown next to the title of the Dashboard area of the plugin:
User can also download the debug log data directly from Maintenance Actions by pressing Download Debug Log Data button and they can also reset the data by pressing Reset Debug Log Data button.
You can find more details in the Release Notes of the plugin’s support page.
Users can update to the latest version using the Update feature of the Plugins section of their Dashboard.
Iptanus team is constantly striving to make WordPress File Upload plugin more user friendly and more bug free, so it will continue issuing new releases.
