Tuesday, 12-September-2023. New version 4.23.3 of WordPress File Upload plugin has just been released.
This is a regular update that introduces some code improvements and security fixes.
The most important one is a fix of a security issue that could allow users with admin access to perform XSS attacks through the redirect link attribute.
Please note that this version is part of the transition to major version 5.
Version 5 will be licensed, meaning that it will require a license key to operate normally.
Moreover, it will support external extensions. A user will be able to buy and add extensions to the plugin to increase its capabilities.
Details about it will be provided in the next middle update 4.24.0.
You can find more details in the Release Notes of the plugin’s support page.
Users can update to the latest version using the Update feature of the Plugins section of their Dashboard.
