Sunday, 19-August-2018. New version 4.7.0 of WordPress File Upload plugin has just been released.

This is a significant update introducing a new feature. A top level Dashboard menu item has been added, Uploaded Files, where the uploaded files are shown for quick reference.

The menu item displays the number of new uploads in a bubble, just like WordPress displays the number of pending updates of the website. The uploaded files’ list displays the filesuseful information about them (upload date, user, whether they have userdata or associated Media Library item, whether they have been transferred to Dropbox or Google Drive etc.) and provides some quick actions, such as opening of the file links, of File Details page, location of the files in File Browser and View Log and download of the files.

Other improvements and bug fixes of this release are as follows:

  • Added Portuguese translation kindly provided by Rui Alao.
  • Checked and verified compatibility with Gutenberg, the new WordPress editor. Read this article for more details.
  • Fixed a frustrating bug clearing userdata fields in non-Multiple File mode when Select File was pressed.
  • File BrowserView LogHooksAdvanced and File Transfers tables modified to become more responsive especially for small screens.

You can check more details in the Release Notes of the plugin’s support page.

Users can update to the latest version using the Update feature of the Plugins section of their Dashboard.

  • Hi Nickolas,

I have a request, I need to put the file for the selected user to see it as if he was inserting it there, and it can be written in the line that it was entered by admin, but for the user to see it together with the files that he himself inserted. For example, that I upload it to his directories and somewhere copy the record to DB? Can I ask for an example, how do I do that?

    Best regards
