WordPress File Upload 4.19.0

This is a regular update that introduces some code improvements and new features, as described below.

Block Themes Compatibility

The new block themes of WordPress, like Twenty Twenty Two, work in a different way than the normal ones. This resulted in incompatibilities with the plugin upload form.

The new version auto-detects block themes and adjusts its functionality accordingly, thus resolving the problem.

Moreover, a new attribute has been added in the visual editor of the upload form and the front-end file viewer, Block Themes Compatibility Mode in General tab.

This attribute determines whether the plugin will apply block theme fixes automatically, or they will always be on (even for normal themes), or they will always be off (even for block themes). It is mostly used for troubleshooting and in most cases users will not have to change it. By default this attribute is set to ‘auto’ in the upload form and to ‘off’ in the front-end file viewer.

Front-End File Viewer New Filter

The front-end file viewer of the plugin provides many filters so that the site admin can configure with great flexibility which files will be displayed.

From this version, a new filter has been added in Filters tab, Upload Form IDs.

This filter restricts the displayed files only to those that have been uploaded by specific upload forms, defined by their ID. This way file viewers can be linked with upload forms.

The filter accepts one or more upload form IDs, separated by comma. It also accepts ranges, e.g. the range 100-110 means that all IDs from 100 until 110 (100, 101, 102, …, 109, 110) will be included.
